Again to increase your audience with like minded intrests you will need to engage with those people, groups, and companies. You will need to actively search out those individuals with the same content you want to promote. Follow them and comment or like their content.
Your response is going to be different based on tags. For example
#sandiegobeach is going to reach a different market then #sandiegoartprint
And to the very heart of your question which I answered previously Yes it is easier to promote a girl in a bikini then say a sunset. They bring out different responses in people for many reasons.
Yes the easy answer is sex sells and is a motivator for humans.
But beyond that there are still reasons that a picture of a girl will get clicked and a sunset won't.
The girl brings up an emotional response in us to motivate that click. In some it will be in support of her confidence in posting the picture. For women we feel an emotional urge to support her. We want to be clicked so we will click on a girl's photo. Men again are emotionally driven to click. It's like whistling at the girl walking down the street.
A sunset on the other hand although beautiful and we may admire the talent we don't feel the same urge to validate or compliment the subject matter. Unfortunately we don't have the same response to validate the artist behind the photo.
So when they click the girl in the bikini she are complimenting the girl not your skill in capturing it.
You'll notice puppies do extremely well in growing followers and likes also. Again we are emotionally drawn to clicking them.
I'm a fairly well regarded documentary and fine art photographer and get very few followers on IG and the vast majority are other artists or real world friends.
